Rick's Kicks has an adult Mixed Martial Arts program that helps individuals 14 and up to learn freestyle, weapon attacks, and self defenses. This class will help the student to better understand and handle "real world" situations.This program will help the student grow mentally and physically. Each class includes aerobic and stretch conditioning, group and individual instruction, along with sparring.
 
Self Defense
The self defense class focuses on all aspects of striking and blocking techniques.The student will learn effective striking, throws, weapons, and takedown skills. Training will include elements of Kickboxing, Boxing, Muay Thai, and other striking arts. Students will learn how to defend themselves from different striking and weapon attacks and effective techniques and combinations to neutralize the aggressor.
 
Freestyle Skills
The freestyle class focuses on all aspects of the ground attack aspects of martial arts. Training will include elements of Sambo, Wrestling, Small Circle and Brazilian Jui-Jitsu, and Kung Fu San Soo. Students will learn how to effectively defend themselves while on the ground by being able to reverse and submit the aggressor.
 
Mixed Martial Arts
The Mixed Martial Arts class helps combine and utilize the techniques and skills learned from both striking arts and freestyle arts. This class helps bring it all together to allow the student to learn the skills needed to easily transission between striking/sparring and submissions/ground attacks.
