ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Established in 1997. Rick's Kicks Martial Arts has been named the " Best School in Collin County" 16 years in a row. We teach a blend of Karate, Judo, Brazilian Jiu jitsu, and Pilipino weapons as our curriculum.
Rick Goss has instructed for over 35 years in North Texas studyingJapanese, Chinese, Korean, Filipino, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since the age of 6. Through his years of training and acquiring the title of "Master Instructor", he is able to demonstrate and teach a broad spectrum of life skills and lessons like Respect, Courtesy and Discipline while maintaining a fun and educational classroom. Our primary focus is encourage our students to develop a goal / growth oriented mindset and implementing the ideals of Traditional and Modern Martial Arts in their daily lives.
MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS

Kevin Overlin

I am a 4th degree Black belt in Karate and Kickboxing and a Purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under Rick Goss. I wrestled to 4th place in Texas for Liberty High School. I have trained under Mr. Rick since I was 4 years old and have been an instructor for 8 years.

Sydnii Hardy
Instructor
I’m an instructor, 2nd degree black belt and teaching for a little over a year and have about 6 years of training under my belt from Mr. Rick. I am always Hoping to make an impact even in the smallest way. I truly enjoy helping them master a sweep/submission, giving the skills / instruction to empower them. I will be finishing up school to become the paramedic and continue my skills in Martial Arts. I want to live a life makes a difference everyday.

Scott Schaffer
Instructor
Scott Schafer began study as a child under his brother, Gary, in Goju-Ryu, a traditional form of Okinawan Karate. At 18 years old, he began study under Grandmaster Ron Van Browning, founder of Trainer’s Elite, in Kung Fu San Soo, and has continued ever since. He currently holds the rank of Master, 5th Degree Black Belt In Grandmaster Browning’s Accelerated Fighting System. From the early 1990’s until the present, Scott has learned from several boxing coaches with different styles. In addition, he achieved the rank of Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Coach J.D. Shelley, and has boxed professionally under Coach John “Lawman” Lawson at the Lewisville Boxing Gym. .
